MURRI Aide
A MURRI (an Aboriginal person from Queensland) Teacher Aide works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families to maximise student’s educational outcomes throughout their schooling at Wynnum State High.
Murri Aide offers:
- Educational and emotional support
- Access to Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS)
- Liaison with teachers
- ABSTUDY assistance
- Access to Indigenous Tertiary Education
- Home & Community Liaison
- Access to Indigenous services
At Wynnum State High we offer a whole school approach with all staff (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) working together to support Indigenous students and ensure their success at school.
