News and Events
The school produces a newsletter each week called the Wynnum Wire. Parents and carers can expect a copy to come home from school every Monday with students. Similarly, the Wynnum Wire can be emailed to parents for convenience. It is very important that parents and carers see this weekly communication. It is our main source of communication with our school community.
Parents who wish to receive the Wynnum Wire electronically via e-mail may request this service. Please click here to request your e-mail address be added to our database. In your request, please state your child's name, year level and student ID number.
NB: we can only email the Wynnum Wire to parents of students currently enrolled in the school.
French Classes
Wynnum High is working with the Alliance Francaise de Brisbane to provide a wonderful opportunity for all members of the local community to learn French in the Resource Centre. There will be a beginner's class and an intermediate class as well as an adult class if there are enough numbers. Classes will consist of a maximum 10 students. If you wish to enquire or enrol, please visit the Alliance Francaise de Brisbane website.
Year 12 Graduation
As the close of the academic year approaches for our Year 12 students, we wish them every success in their exams and their future. During the coming final school week, Year 12 students will need to finalise the return of all school resources prior to their Graduation Afternoon High Tea by completing and returning the Year 12 Clearance Form (a copy is available in the Secure Section of the school webpage - Inside Wynnum High which will require students to log in using their computer logon and password). The form is on the General Information Page. Remember, Resource Hire is not open on Wednesday and Thursday.
Please RSVP your invitation to the Graduation Afternoon High Tea no later than 2:00pm, Tuesday, 17 November.

The State Schools of Tomorrow project for Brisbane Bayside has been approved by the Government - click here for information on this project. We expect work to commence in October. Under the SSOT program, there are plans to extend Memorial Drive through to the Multi-Purpose Shelter. Memorial Drive originally went right through the school grounds to Andrew Street, Wynnum. More interpretive signs will be placed beside the beautiful old trees lining Memorial Drive which were planed in 1922 to commemorate the loss of one of the local boys during World War I.
As part of the State Schools of Tomorrow project,
Wynnum High's community agreed concept plan has now been released.
