TAFE Partnership

PARTNERSHIP WITH SCHOOLS (PWS) PROGRAM

Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE (MSIT) operates a Partnership with Schools Program – a seamless training program for students which maximises their higher education and employment opportunities while they are at school. MSIT provides high school students with the opportunity to:-

Experience a variety of vocations, start your career while still at school

  • Complete Certificate II or III qualifications – gain 4 to 8 credit points
  • Help to secure a student’s commitment to complete Year 12
  • Access Direct Entry into Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs post Year 12

PATHWAY TO DIPLOMA
This pathway offers a Certificate III or IV outcome.  Students attend a MSIT campus 1 or 2 days per week usually for 2 years whilst still attending secondary school.  This gives students 7 or 8 credit points towards the QCE.

PATHWAY TO WORK SKILLS
This pathway offers students either a complete Certificate II or units of competency from a Certificate II training package.  These units maybe credited towards ongoing study.

Information on all PWS Programs on offer in 2008 will be provided to the school in the near future.  Possible programs to be offered in 2008 are listed below:
